Media Planner

YOUR NEW OPPORTUNITY

Anthem is looking for a talented Media Planner to support our busy campaign period on a 3-month contract. You’ll play a key role in shaping smart, effective media strategies for some of the country’s most exciting live events — collaborating with our internal teams and trusted media partners to deliver campaigns that reach, engage, and inspire audiences.

If you’re a strategic thinker with hands-on media planning experience and a passion for arts, culture, and live entertainment, we’d love to hear from you.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Develop media plans and channel strategies (digital and offline) in line with client objectives, audience profiles, and campaign goals.
  • Work closely with media buying agency partners — liaising on placements, negotiating deals, managing insertion orders, budgeting and invoicing.
  • Analyse target audiences: research media habits, identify suitable media channels (online display/paid social/search; as well as traditional offline media, where appropriate), and craft media mix recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams — Creative, Account Management, Strategy — to ensure media plans integrate with broader campaign activity.
  • Monitor and optimise campaign performance (where applicable), working with vendors/buying agencies to track delivery, campaign pacing, budget usage, and support reporting, analysis, and post-campaign insights.
  • Prepare media proposals, cost schedules, and client-facing documentation, present media strategies, rationales and performance recommendations via internal or client meetings.

ABOUT YOU

Experience & Background

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in media planning (digital and/or traditional), within an agency context.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan across multiple media channels (digital display/social/search, potentially offline or traditional media) and manage relationships with media vendors or media buying partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to review and interpret digital dashboards, guide optimisation requests and deliver reporting.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong analytical mindset, comfortable working with data and research to shape media strategy and make media-mix recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills — able to translate media insights and plans into clear, compelling recommendations for internal teams and clients.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented: capable of managing multiple campaigns and channels, budgets, insertion orders/invoicing, and reporting under tight deadlines.
  • Collaborative and proactive — comfortable working across internal and external stakeholders (creatives, account teams, media-buying agencies, clients) to deliver cohesive and effective campaigns.
  • Passion for live events, culture or entertainment, and enthusiastic about contributing to high-impact campaigns that drive real results.
